Updates to LGS Toolkit released

Version 3.10.2 of Tedds Add In for Light Gauge Steel released . Release notes included, but available here also

• General updates to form ensuring options that should be available are and those that aren’t are hidden. 

• Dormer truss – 4 updated to have mid span support ONLY and user define the position of the support. 

 

Option to use a compound bottom chord same as the compound lintel options for the lattice truss lintel types. This is useful when lattice trusses are required for vertical load however are failing under lateral / wind load due to single C section in weak axis, or when ‘simple’ compound C is not strong, or stiff, enough to carry the vertical load’s applied. 

 

• Ability to select which members are designed – stud, jamb or cill or any combination 

• Cleats to substrate now included in design checks, if required – simply tick the box 

• Wind posts to head, cill or both and steel or concrete substrate 

• Additional Jamb types added 

• Error in output around wind post spacing, LPost identified and corrected Dec 2023
