We have released the latest version of our Add-In, now upto Version 3.0.5
Version 3.0.5 of Tedds Add In for Light Gauge Steel released - Tuesday 15th November. Release notes included, but available here also
Apologies for the delay in issuing updates to the software this year. It’s been a combination of broken limbs and covid have really thrown a spanner in the works!
On the plus side we have managed a few tweaks to the 2D analysis engine in terms of we have added an option for supports at 1/3 points to the Dormer Truss type along with a few background updates to the pitched roof trusses generally and the horizontal member design tool.
We have also discovered that the ‘Horizontal Member Design tool (2.4) can be upto 75% more efficient than traditional design tools. We discovered this by accident after we designed floor joists for a project seeing that they passed at 99%, a competitor’s software said failed and our traditional software agreed. However when installed and boarded they worked perfectly!
We have also been working, in the background, on:
Improved video’s for marketing and training
Loadbearing and façade lintels – addition of hot rolled members to reinforce and wind posts
One form module design linking to Tekla Structures
Simplified interfaces for less technical users
The above will be released ‘shortly’, but aren’t at the BETA stage yet, so bear with us!
Latest version adds some relatively minor updates or enhancements so has moved to Version 3.0.5. Changes are listed below:
